The following individuals make up our legal team.



Whatever family law issue you face, we’re here to guide you through the legal process, provide you with basic legal understanding and protect your legal rights. You’ll find that our attorneys are honest, efficient and get straight to the point, whether during negotiations or in the courtroom. We are also persistent about pursuing your goals.



Patrice Gay has an extensive legal background. She graduated from Suffolk University Law School in 1989, and her practice areas include Family Law, Mediation, Consumer Law, Criminal Law, Estate Planning, and Constitutional Law. Patrice is a certified Mediator in Texas. Patrice was a Captain in the U.S. Army JAG Corps, where she served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Law at West Point and a Prosecutor for over 70 courts-martial. She taught Constitutional Law and Criminal Law as well as serving as an officer rep for the cadet Skydiving team. Patrice enjoys history, running, family-time, raising cattle on their family ranch, and volunteering with the local National Charity League chapter. Patrice serves as their volunteer coordinator at the Brazos Valley Food Bank. She also volunteers as a Veterans claims advocate and a merit badge counselor for the Scouts, USA.



John Williams is a 1988 graduate of Texas A&M University. After many years of widely varied business experiences, John decided to pursue a new career in law. He attended The Nashville School of Law in Nashville, TN, where he graduated second in his class in 2010. This ranking permitted his induction to the school’s Inn of Cooper, an honor society for academic achievement. He was also the recipient of the Class Moot Court award for outstanding student performance before a mock Court of Appeals. John is a licensed attorney in both Tennessee and Texas, though he now is focused solely on Texas since joining C.E. Borman and Associates.



As Office Manager, Carolyn is responsible for organizing office operations and procedures; client billing; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions.  Any questions about account balances, monthly statements, trust deposits, or pending refunds, Carolyn is the person who can help provide you with answers. Carolyn has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Texas A&M University and has worked in office administration for more than 15 years.



When you call our law firm the first person you will hear is Marlee’s. Friendly and experienced, Marlee is our first point of contact who manages the front office area and directs communication within our office, taking messages and sending your call to the appropriate person. Marlee schedules appointments with our attorneys, and transmits important documents and messages to clients. She is diligent in managing our office calendar and maintaining information sent in by clients.



Involved in all aspects of our family law casework, Lori drafts pleadings and correspondence, schedules mediation, meets with clients, communicates with service providers, and schedules court hearings. Lori is a graduate of the Legal Assistant program at Blinn College and is an invaluable part of our team. Lori is knowledgeable about not only the law but also the dynamics of litigation, enabling her to work hand in hand with our attorneys throughout the preparation and presentation of your case.



Suzanne works closely with Channa Borman and Associate Attorneys to maintain our high standard of effective communication with clients. As our client liaison, she is glad to answer your non-legal questions and, if necessary, will relay answers to your legal questions from Channa or John. Suzanne’s assistance in her role as client liaison, answering non-legal questions, is free of charge and is yet another example of the depth and breadth of the services we offer here at C. E Borman & Associates.



Originally from Conroe, Texas, Addison is a senior at Texas A&M University and studies business and marketing in the Mays College of Business. She has a background in retail sales and assists with marketing the law firm by creating social media posts, email marketing content, designs advertising landing pages, and edits videos created by the Founder, Channa Borman.

Caitlyn is a student intern at C. E. Borman & Associates. She attends Texas A&M University. Caitlyn enjoys spending time with family, traveling and volunteering. As a student intern, Caitlyn performs a variety of administrative support functions, which include organizing files, scanning documents, filing, answering phones when needed and assists with special projects.
